         50TH ANNIVERSARY OF THE CHURCH IN KOREA in 2005

 As many of you have heard, 2005 marks the 50th anniversary of the Church in Korea.   The following events have been planned to commemorate the August 2, 1955 dedication of Korea to the preaching of the Gospel by Joseph Fielding Smith.  These will take place in Korea.   For the missionaries who served under President Hawkins, this information is being coordinated by David Merrill.

  • Cultural Performance:  July 30, 2005
     

  •  Nationwide Area Conference:  July 31, 2005
     

  • Reception of Public Officials by the Church:  Aug. 2, 2005
     

  • Nationwide Young Adult Conference:  Aug.3-6, 2005

To get the best price for air fare, we need to have an approximate number by May 1, 2004 (this year) of those who want to take part in the group transportation to Seoul  You will not need to purchase the ticket until a couple of months before we leave.  But the travel agency needs to bid for a block of tickets for us a year in advance.
